Today I was given a day off, a short respite from the rhythm of catalogue season. We had the interns over and they very graciously gave of their time and helped us accomplish various things around the property that had been on our list of things to do in preparation of what we hope will be the sale of our property. In turning over rocks, we found a small snake about eight inches long and smaller around than a pencil. We also found this small lizard which seemed for a while content to ride along on Mary’s shoulder.
