Yesterday after several inches of snow had gracefully blanketed everything in view, we ventured out into the cold to help Calvin build his first snowman. Suffering from a shortage of corncob pipes, buttons and coal, we resorted to using pine cones for the eyes and nose and and a pine stick for the mouth, which in the end made him appear to be playing the harmonica. Add the cowboy hat as a nod to our Texas roots, and he looks like a real live cowboy sitting near the campfire… which, in his case, I would not recommend.
