This past Saturday, before leaving San Antonio where we had been working on the Vision Forum catalogue, we ventured to Sea World to get our week-long vacation started with a bang. We certainly enjoyed ourselves, but the best part was watching Calvin’s fascination with the animals. Below are some of the highlights from our outing there.

Just arriving at Sea World

The killer whale — an amazing display of God’s creativity and design

The average males weigh in at about 12 thousand pounds

A killer whale next to a trainer for scale

This dolphin was very friendly and sociable

Calvin was thrilled to see the dolphins swim by within inches of where we stood

There was a mix of Pacific and Atlantic dolphins

Calvin would’ve jumped in if we’d let him 🙂

A very populated aquarium behind 11-inch glass

A diver jumps in and feeds the rays by hand

A very sinister looking shark swims by

An entire colony of penguins

A very playful puffin follows me wherever I walk — enjoying having his picture taken

An unusual fish which hovers motionless in the water

Three beautiful Atlantic white-sided dolphins

A hot lazy day for these alligators

A look of astonishment at watching the sea lions play

The sea lions act in a short skit

A walrus has been trained to do crunches in response to being overweight 🙂

Leaving the park — a long day of fun and learning left this little boy worn out
