Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups pearl onions
1/4 cup butter, cubed
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp dried thyme
1/4 tsp dried chervil
1/4 tsp pepper
2 pkg. (16 oz. each) frozen peas, thawed
2 cups shredded lettuce
Instructions:
- In a large saucepan, bring 6 cups of water to a boil. Add onions; boil for 5 minutes. Drain and rinse in cold water; peel.
- In the same saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the onions, water, sugar and seasonings. Add peas and lettuce, stir until blended. Cover and cook for 6-8 minutes or until tender. Serve with a slotted spoon.
